Reducing the risks

At DP Services we fully recognise that the very nature of our business means there are potential hazards for your people on-site. Apart from the human cost of an accident, we realise there could be losses of time, production, money, and reputations at stake. That’s why we feel it’s essential that we do all we can to reduce the risk of accidents to your employees and ours, to site visitors, members of the public and other sub-contractors.

We start by working with your health and safety personnel to carry out a full risk assessment of each project if necessary. This is designed in conjunction with our comprehensive safety policies and procedures, to ensure that nobody (as far as is reasonably practicable) is exposed to health and safety risks.

We have a number of risk assessments and method statements prepared as generic documentation for many of our operations. Also we can conduct site visits, perform risk assessments and compile site specific method statements.

All our employees have a range of Health and Safety Qualifications and certificates such as:

• Passport to Safety –ECITB Approved   
• National Grid Approved (For access to Substations, Electrical and Nuclear)
• HIAB Operators License
• Forklift License
• Versa-lift License
• Overhead Gantry Crane License
• BESC Qualification

In addition to this DP Services has an Environmental Agency Waste Carrier License for removal of surplus machinery and Scrap metals for disposal.
